Effective date: 27 July 2026 Whenly ("the app") is a daily history trivia game operated by Jack French ("we"). This policy describes what the app collects and why.
Game content and your recent questions are cached on your device (local database). Account and score data are stored with our backend provider, Supabase, in their hosted infrastructure.
You can delete your account and its data from within the app: tap Privacy & data on the home screen and confirm. This permanently removes your scores, streaks, museum cards, and leaderboard entries from your device and our servers. You can also email jack@wellprompted.ai with a deletion request. Deleting the app alone removes the on-device cache but not server-side scores tied to your anonymous ID.
Whenly is a general-audiences trivia game and does not knowingly collect personal information beyond what is described above.
We'll post any changes to this policy at this URL with an updated effective date.
_Published at when-ly.com/privacy (Vercel). The in-app deletion path this policy describes is the "Privacy & data" control on the home screen, backed by the delete-account Edge Function — verified against production on 2026-07-27: profile, runs, and museum cards all cascade._
